- No. the PNP do not observe work-from home or any work scheming.

I. Impact on the operational work:


a. New experiences on deployment during COVID-19 pandemic
- Working together with health personnel and met the variety types of peoples
when in border’s checkpoint.
-Numbers of police officers deployed in checkpoint for daily inspection,
observance of social distancing, and to trace if everyone follows the safety
protocols to avoid further spread of COVID-19.
- Observing health protocols : social distancing, wearing mask, face shield
frequent sanitation and properly handling in and sending out communication
and other documents.
- The pandemic strengthened if not accelerated the need for more
collaborative ways of working and partnerships within and across the public
and private sectors moving towards a more inclusive approach that embeds
social and work responsibilities.

b. Additional policing imposed in your area that concerns police work.


- Being vigilant about the peoples passing the border’s checkpoint regarding
incident happened in the other PRO’s that they attacked by the leftist group
and the other additional policing is the camp defense plan regarding the said
attacked by the leftist group.
-Social distancing rules, contact tracing, safety precautions to avoid spread of
virus.

- Conducting Symposium and Information Drive in relation to Covid-19 and
EO 70 in remote areas.

receiving area before entering the camp always wearing facemask, face

c. Challenges experienced by police officers during the conduct of their


duty.
-Sometime we met the variety types of people during the COVID-19
pandemic deployment however most of them follows the health protocols
because they already knows that this is for our safety.
-those people who are always violating the rules to avoid the spreading of
virus
- Those persons violates the law and they want to argue with the Police
Officer while performing duty.
- Those Politicians violates the law and threatened the police officer to relieve
to his/her assignment.
-Time for his/her Family with special occasions like birthday or wedding
anniversary while performing duty.
- As frontliners we are at risk for we must deal with operational duties while
protecting ourselves against infection and cross contamination.
- Lacking resources and manpower
- New Normal Situation is a challenging experience especially to the police
officers, as frontlines, because they are more prone from COVID 19.
d. Stressors identified by police officers during the COVID-19 pandemic.
-Stressors identified by police officers are the other civilians and other
government employees who did not follow the health protocols.

- During the conduct of the operational work as a police officers, being prone
to COVID 19, afraid to be infected by the virus.
- Most of the time during checkpoints drivers of public utility vehicle and
commuter experienced high-stressed aggravated by fear of contagion, economic
uncertainty and shortage of resources.

e. Crime trends: what are the most common crime happening in your
area?
- During the pandemic more peoples lost their livelihoods it is because of
lockdown, some of them commit criminal activities such as theft and robbery.

- murder and shooting incidents
- VAWC
- The impact of the pandemic changes the nature of criminal activity since
many people have had to stay at home some aspects of criminal activity proliferated
indoors. Domestic violence and child abuse.

f. New practices in apprehending violators in police stations?
-IATF rules based responses
-people arrested for violating quarantine rules.
We always follow the health protocol in apprehending violators either they are
suspected infected by COVID-19 or not. We always monitor the temperature
through the Thermal gun to identify the person if it is asymptomatic by their
body temperature.
- To apprehends is to violate the social distancing if resistance occur wearing
face shield cannot be observed strong facemask like n95 is to be worn.
- During the apprehension of the suspect, The Police Office should inform
his/her authority and the cause of arrest and also the Miranda rights based on
RA 7438.After that the police officer should bring the suspect in Medical Health
Center or Hospital weather Public or Private to undergo medical and
psychological examination. After the examination with medical result the police
officer should detain the suspect and prepare for booking procedure and observe
the Art. 125 of the Revised Penal Code (RPC) and bring the suspect to the court
for filling appropriate case.
