    UNDERSTANDING THE SELF

    1. What do you think is the importance of exploring our Sexual Self and how does this help us
    in better understanding ourselves?
    - I think the importance of exploring our sexual self is being aware of how we really want to
    be treated and respected. We have so many things we don’t know about our body that we need
    to explore. We need to get out of our comfort zone and do all we want without hesitation but in
    ethical manner. So, exploring our sexual self is like a long adventure of discovering a new
    chapter about our body and personality.

    2. What do you think is the importance of Sex Education?


    - Sex Education explores values and beliefs that helps people gain skills that are needed to
    navigate relationships with self, partners, and community, and manage one’s own sexual health.
    People nowadays, especially teenagers, need to be enlighten with this kind of education to
    avoid early teenage pregnancy which is one of the main reasons why poverty in the Philippines
    increases. It also helps about giving awareness of the importance and consequence of sex like
    risks of unwanted pregnancies and sexually transmitted diseases.
