Welcome to the Technical Drawing 2 Self-Learning Module 7 on Draw Italic Small


Letters!

This module was collaboratively designed, developed and reviewed by educators from
Schools Division Office of Pasig City headed by its Officer-In-Charge Schools Division
Superintendent, Ma. Evalou Concepcion A. Agustin in partnership with the Local
Government of Pasig through its Mayor, Honorable Vico Sotto.
The writers utilized the standards set by the K to 12 Curriculum using the Most
Essential Learning Competencies (MELC) while overcoming their personal, social,
and economic constraints in schooling.

This learning material hopes to engage the learners into guided and independent
learning activities at their own pace and time. Further, this also aims to help learners
acquire the needed 21st century skills especially the 5 Cs namely: Communication,

LESSON

Draw Italic small letters


Tools and materials needed:
1. Activity sheet
2. HB or F pencil (No.1 pencil is an alternative)
3. 2H pencil (No.3 pencil is an alternative)
4. Pencil eraser
5. Protractor
6. 30°x60°x90° triangle or 45°x45°x90° triangle
Steps in drawing Italic small letters
1. Measure 5mm, 5mm, 10mm, 5mm, 5mm, and 5mm repeatedly from the top
border line to bottom border line, and draw light horizontal lines (use 2H or
no.3 pencil).

2. Measure 70 degrees from the corner of left border line and bottom border
line, then draw light inclined lines. (use 2H or no.3 pencil).
3. Place triangle parallel to 70 degrees line and draw another inclined line. The
two inclined lined should be perpendicular to each other.

4. Measure 10mm from the intersection of two inclined lines both ways.
5. Place triangle parallel to first inclined line and draw lines from the mark
points. Use another triangle to support the first triangle.

6. On the first box (10mm x 10mm) draw letter a, live one box as spacing for
each letter, draw letter b, do the same procedure until to reach the last letter
z (use HB, F, or no. 1 pencil).
