Oral Test Second Quarter

Percentage: 25 % Date: June 5th to 9th

Objective: To create a news broadcast that covers current events, news


stories, and topics of interest to , a tv show that interviews famous people or
a talk show that covers social or relevant events in today’s society
Instructions:
1- Select a few current news topics or stories that are relevant and interesting .

These can include local, national, or international news, as well as

entertainment, sports, or technology-related stories. You can also include

school life .

2- Research and Preparation: Assign specific roles to each group member,

such as anchor, field reporter, weatherperson, and sports commentator.

Each group member should research and gather information about their

assigned topic. Encourage them to use reliable news sources and gather

relevant facts, statistics, and quotes.

3- Scriptwriting: Each group should collaborate to write a script for their news

segment. The script should include an introduction, transitions, the main

news stories, interviews or discussions, and a conclusion. Encourage

creativity in delivering the news, using appropriate language and tone for a

news broadcast.
4- If you want you can do a video .You can film in various locations, mimicking

a studio, newsroom, or even reporting from outside. Once filming is

complete, you ca use video editing software or online platforms to enhance

the quality of the broadcast. OR, you can present alive in class. You should

incorporate visual elements such as news graphics, images, video clips, or

infographics to support their news stories. These visuals should be relevant

and enhance the viewers' understanding of the news.

5- The groups work together as a team. Each member contributes

effectively to their assigned roles.

6- Time : 10 to 15 minutes.

7- Reading aids are not allowed.
