1.1 Dismantle left engine-block covering i Except engine 612.963 /990.
1.2 Detach engine block cover complete i Engine 612.963 only.
2.1 Remove exhaust gas recirculation valve (138) i Except engine 612.963 /990.
3.1 Loosen charge air hose on charge air cooler i Engine 612.990.
3.2 Loosen charge air hose on valve i Engine 612.963.
4 Loosen bolts (41a) on pulley (41) l Counterholder *611589004000

5.1 Remove poly-V-belt (130) i Except engine 612.963. AR13.22-P-1202HB

5.2 Loosen poly-V-belt (130) i Engine 612.963 only.

6 Unbolt belt pulley (41) i Model 163: *BA46.30-P-1007-01A
n Bolt of pulley to power steering pump
i Model 203: *BA46.30-P-1005-01D
n Bolt of pulley to power steering pump
7 Pinch off feed hose (30m) from power steering l Clamping device *000589543700
pump reservoir and remove
8 Unscrew high-pressure stretch hose (30i) i Seal off line connection with blind plug.
i Installation: Check O-ring (30h), replace if
necessary.
i Model 163:
n High-pressure expansion hose to power *BA46.30-P-1003-01A
steering pump
i Model 203: *BA46.30-P-1002-01D
n Connection fitting of high pressure
expansion hose/line to power steering pump
