How Long Should A College Essay Be

Writing an essay on the topic of "How Long Should A College Essay Be" can be quite challenging,
as it requires a delicate balance between providing sufficient information and keeping the reader
engaged. The difficulty lies in navigating the fine line between being concise and thorough.

On one hand, you need to address the key points and arguments related to the ideal length of a
college essay. This involves conducting thorough research, considering various perspectives, and
presenting a well-reasoned analysis. On the other hand, you must be mindful of the essay's length
itself, ensuring that it doesn't become overly verbose or lose the reader's interest.

Crafting a compelling introduction and conclusion adds another layer of complexity. The
introduction should capture the reader's attention, provide context, and present a clear thesis
statement. Meanwhile, the conclusion needs to summarize the main points and leave a lasting
impression.

Additionally, adhering to any specific guidelines or word limits set by the assignment or college
application can be challenging. Striking the right balance between depth of content and adherence to
guidelines requires careful planning and precise writing skills.

In conclusion, writing an essay on this topic demands a thoughtful approach to content, structure,
and length. It challenges writers to convey their ideas effectively within a confined space while
maintaining the essay's overall coherence and impact.

Sweat Buddy Problem
Going to university can be an incredibly exciting time for many young adults, but once
these students arrive on campus, their level of physical activity takes a sharp downturn.
Students are unmotivated, have no one to workout with, and barely know anything
about the exercise culture around them. Studies show that this decrease in exercise
leads to depression, poor grades, and mental health problems. A solution to this exercise
epidemic is an all inclusive workout app called Sweat Buddy. Sweat Buddy is an app
specifically for Johns Hopkins Universityand will revolutionize the way collegestudents
work out. One of the most important aspects of the app is that it will function in a
dating app way where users input their workout goals and preferences and look
through a database of other users to find and match with a potential workout buddy or
join a workout group. Studies show that one of the main reason college students are not
working out is that they do not want to workout alone. The app will also serve as a
database for all things work out related in the Baltimore area. This app will have
exercises tailored specifically to the equipment at the Johns Hopkins recreation center,
lists of safe running... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
After we gather this information, a third party software developer will use it to
develop the app; taking about three months. Once we develop the app, we will release
the app for free to two or three sororities to gain feedback, and then we will release it to
the public for a price. We will use aggressive social media marketing strategies to
increase the number of users downloading Sweat Buddy and after the app is on the
market for two months, I project that 1000 users will have downloaded
Analysis Of Hoop Dreams By Steve James
Hoop Dreams was a documentary made in 1994, directed by Steve James. The film
follows two boys named Arthur and William from eight to twelfth grade as they chase
their dream of becoming professional basketball players. They both go to Saint Joseph s
High School, the prestige suburban school famous for their basketballteam. But when
Arthur has to go to a regular public high schoolbecause of economic issues, the film
becomes a documentation of both the boys, with the help of their families, battling the
physical and social obstacles that are blocking their path.
One of the most subtle methods of manipulation used in Hoop Dreams was the music in
scenes that they wanted to resonate with you. For example, when Arthur is at Saint
Joseph s at basketball practice, his basketball hero, Isiah Thomas, shows up to give a
speech. There is a slow motion shot of Isiah playing with Arthur on the court, who has a
huge smile on his face, and in the background there is what you could call inspirational
music. This was used most likely to show how much Arthur idolized Isiah, therefore,
showing how badly Arthur wanted to play basketball. It gives the audience hope that
Arthur will make his dream a reality, which will make it that much more exciting when
he eventually does.
In an interview with Arthur s mother, you find out that St. Joseph s wouldn t pay for all
of Arthur s education like they said they would, which is terrible news because the Agee
s couldn t afford to send Arthur to this
Doublings In Dracula
In Bram Stoker s Dracula, there is a plethora of ways the novel can be critically analyzed,
but there s one theory in particular that I found the most interesting to apply. I used the
theory of deconstructuralism to critically analyze Dracula, and to help break down the
story into particular meanings and themes that can contradict the typical perceptions and
first impressions of the novel. To better help complement my analysis, I read and
analyzed another popular article by John Paul Riquelme, titled Doubling and Repetition
/Realism and Closure in Dracula. As his title suggests, Riquelme touches upon this theory
of deconstruction in Draculaby arguing the doublings, the repetitions, and the elements of
realism provided throughout the... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He is arguing that the characters that make up Dracula end up revealing that they are
more similar to one another than they are different through some of their actions and
decisions. I found Riquelme s theory of how the doublings in Dracula reveal the
similarities between characters to be quite intriguing. Even when focusing on Dracula
himself and applying this theory to him, once again that doubling of beast versus man
comes into play. Though Dracula is physically associated with being a monster, a
beast...is he really meaning to be such a creature? Riquelme states that the doublings
and repetitions in all these works blur the boundaries that inform the principles of
coherence we associate with sanity... (561). When applying this statement to Dracula s
character, I do indeed find it validating as I realize myself that though Dracula may
have seemingly lost all sense of sanity, he is still a character that a reader is able to feel
sorrow for. Even though it is true that Dracula may not be sane, the doublings associated
with him being different with the normal characters are in fact blurred. In the novel, the
characters that are meant to be different, or good apart from Dracula, have indulged in
immoral acts

CHAPTER I
INTRODUCTION

Background of the Study

. Capsicum annuum is a domesticated species of the plant genus Capsicum native to

southern North America and northern South America. Chili has been a part of the
human diet in the Americas since at least 7500 BC. There is archaeological evidence at
sites located in southwestern Ecuador that chili peppers were domesticated more than
6000 years ago and is one of the first cultivated crops in the Central and South Americas

annuum is especially productive in warm and dry climates. The single flowers are an
off white (sometimes purplish) color whilst the stem is densely branched and up to 60
centimetres (24 in) tall. When ripe, the fruit may be green, yellow or red. In American
English the plant is commonly known as a chili pepper or bell pepper. Sweet peppers are
very often used as a bulking agent in cheap ready made meals/take away food as they
are cheap, have a strong flavour, and are colorful. The colorful aspect of peppers
increases the visual appeal of the food, making it more appetizing. Capsaicin, a
chemical found in chili peppers, creates a burning sensation once ingested which can
last for several hours after ingestion. In British English, the sweet varieties are called red
or green peppers, and the hot varieties chillies whereas in Australian and Indian English
the name capsicum is commonly used for bell peppers exclusively and chilli is often
used to encompass the hotter varieties.

Uses of Capsicum Annuum The species is a source of popular sweet peppers and hot
chilis with numerous varieties cultivated all around the world. Hot peppers are used in
medicine in Africa and other countries. It is employed in medicine, in combination with
Cinchona in intermittent and lethargic affections, and also in atonic gout, dyspepsia

Who is a Bahamian?
Public displays of Bahamian pride have adorned Bay Street and the profound Nassau Art
Gallery (NAG) since the later part of 2012. An attractive cadre of portraits, arts and craft
has captured various dimensions of the Bahamian life in efforts to increase national
awareness of Bahamian ethnic identity, history, and culture and to attempt answering the

Geographical locations within the Bahamas can also decide if you are truly Bahamian.
Nicolette Bethel eludes to this in her article National Identity and the Archipealago when
she states: race and colour, central components of Bahamian identity are fundamentally
affected by the geography of the archipelago. (3) The NE6 Kingdom Come art
exhibiton at the Nassau Art Gallery is comprised of 49 participating artists of Bahamian
descent or living and working in The Bahamas, with 25 female artists and 26 male artist
including artists from the Family Islands (Edward 1). These Artists individually bring a
unique twist to produce original artwork around a theme of change. This uniquely fits the
ideals Sabrina Lightbourn projected in her editoral about recognizing the faces of change
as Bahamians. The exhibition included five distinct segments: identity, spirituality and
balance, justice, transformation, survival and specific features of the Bahamian
landscape (Edward, 1). Chief curator John Cox explained the rational behind why the
artists collectively chose the sub title of Identity in his essay as: Knowing who we are
makes us confident about who will become. Do we, as Bahamians, understand truly who
we are today? (Edward 1).
Female artists Sabrina Lightbourne, Kishan Munroe and Susan Moir Mackey esentuated
the images of depicting the various cultural identities that Bahamians
