RECORDS AND DESCRIPTION OF DRILLS FOR EMERGENCY

Description & Procedure of Training: FIRE DRILL

SCENARIO ‘’FIRE AT GALLEY


1300H-1325H

1300H - While vessel at Lat. 13° 12.78’N, Long. 123° 46.08’E duty OILER conducted a
safety & and security roving around the vessel he suddenly discovered an
ELECTRICAL FIRE in the galley.
1302H - OOW sounded a general alarm from the bridge 7 short blast followed by 1 long
blast on the ship’s whistle and continuous ringing of a ships bell followed by public
address announcer fire at ‘’GALLEY’’
1304H - Duty A/B hoisted Juliet's flag to alert ships in the vicinity.
1305H - All crew proceed to muster station.
1307H - C/O conducted roll call and reported to the bridge all crew accounted for.
1309H - Every crew familiarized their duties and responsibilities during a fire emergency
situation.
1310H - After familiarization and briefing everyone proceeded to their perspective
assignment.
1313H - Emergency fire pump starts to activate with full pressure and works well.
1315H - ‘’Deck attack team ‘’ attack party with their complete fireman’s gear to proceed at
the fire scene.
1317H - The backup squad laid down the fire hose and closed all down watertight doors, fire
dampers, flaps, and ventilation.
1319H - Back up squad started boundary cooling.
1320H - The attack party commenced fighting the fire using the appropriate fire extinguisher
until the fire down subsided and out.
1323H - Fire out and discovered unplugged induction stove which caused the fire.
1325H - Master dismissed the drill with satisfactory.
