Review

(Post pictures in the black board)

From these pictures, does anyone still

remember the last topic we discuss?
Sir, it is about noun.
Very good! And what is noun?
Noun talks about name, place, things,
animals, and events.
That’s right!
Motivation
Now, let us proceed to the game I prepare
for the class. It is called “Guess Who”.
There will be a box filled with the names of
the students. With the music playing, the
box will be passed in a zigzag pattern.
When the music stop, the person who is
holding the box will pick out one name.
Without telling the name written on the
piece of paper, he/she will describe the
person. Other students will start guessing
who he/she is referring to.

(The teacher will write on the board the

descriptions given.)

Aila, pick one piece of paper in the box and

describe the person written on it.
She is tall, has straight hair, and fair skin.
Okay class, who is she referring to?
Teacher, that person is Anna.
Aila, does your classmates guess is correct?
Yes teacher, she is Anna.
Very good class!

Teaching/Modeling
Now, class do you remember the names of
your classmates who picked on the box?
Teacher, they are Anna, Angelica, Danny,
and Daina.
What did they do?
Teacher, they described the owner of the
names they picked on the box.
Based on the activity, what do you think
will be our lesson for today?
We will discuss describing words!
Very good. Let us read what describing
word is. Repeat after I read it. Are we clear?
Yes, sir!
Describing words add meaning to a noun.
They tell about persons, place things,
animals, and places. They usually come
before the words they describe.
Okay, I have pasted the examples of
describing words. Again repeat the word
after I read it. Are we clear?
Yes, sir!
(The teacher will present describing words)
I have here a story I will read it first, and
then you follow. After reading the story you
will tell me which words were used in the
story as describing words.

Base on the story we have read who are the

characters in the story, Angge?
Teacher, the monkey and Turtle.
Very Good!
Based again in our story. Describe the
characteristics of a Monkey?
Teacher, Moneky is hungry and clever.
How about the Turtle?
Teacher, the turtle has a lovely voice and
Both of your answers are correct. foolish.

Application
For our group activity I will group you into
three groups and assign a leader. Each
group will receive a cartolina and an
envelope with piece of papers inside.
Choose inside the envelope the words that
describe the person, place, thing, and
