Examine a work of art in your home or community, identify its features that you
appreciate and identify its possible influence from the Eastern culture/tradition.

This work of art is from a calendar at home which seems to have a Chinese
culture because of its some Chinese characters and also the features of this artwork.
Chinese’s paintings were commonly about for its landscapes and nature. By the looks
of it, this artwork is all about nature which includes animals. Animals were included in
the nature because they also contribute to have well-balanced nature and ecosystem.
The color seems like vintage aesthetic type that gives the artwork more appreciative
and love for the Mother Nature. I appreciate how it still looks astoundingly beautiful and
alive even without the bright colors. The strokes of the brushes seem perfect that it
gives clear definition and details for every part of the artwork. I love how it depicts or
portray the connection within the animals and the trees and waterfalls suchlike they are
communicating to have social relationship in terms of nature. This work of art seems
old because of its vintage type of color but that is not the case for me to not appreciate
its detailed features.
