1. You must behave responsibly and accordingly when you’re in the laboratory.
2. This rule of mine requests you to act responsibly and accordingly when you are in a laboratory. You must respect the
lab because it is supposed to be a place where you conduct scientific study, experimentation, and discoveries, not
engage in horseplay. It also asks you to strictly follow the lab's safety guidelines, rules, and procedures. The
laboratory is intended to provide a fun and safe learning environment for scholars like you.
2. Steps
A. What you can do to determine if the gold nugget is >, <, or = to one kilogram is to make a DIY balanced scale using
the materials you already have. You can use your hiking stick as the beam of your improvised balanced scale.
B. Cut a piece of the rope. Then, tie one end of that piece into the middle of the hiking stick; make sure it is secure. You
will use that to properly hold the balanced scale
That will serv Make sure it is securely tied.
C. After that, cut another piece of rope. Tie one end of the rope into an end of the hiking stick.
D.
E.
3A. Student B and Student D made the correct reports. Their measurements are correct because they have an
uncertain or estimated digit. They observed that the meniscus is in between 5.7 ml and 5.8 ml, compared to
3B. Before you begin, you should identify the least count of your measurement tool to determine what place values
you are certain of. The lower the least count, the bigger the number of significant figures. When measuring, write the
certain digits first, and then estimate what the last digit of the measurement could be. You must write all the digits
of your measurement, including your estimated digit because all digits are significant. Don't be concerned if the
uncertain digits of your measurement may be incorrect because it is estimated.
