Name

Description The efforts have touched the people’s life. Community development in the ultimate goal,
of the urbanization has had an impact on the traditional economic systems in the country and
activity has shifted the socio-economic preferences. The socio-economic growth and wellbeing
of people are so interconnected, that it is not feasible to ignore any of them. Hence, the
foundation has teamed wide across the section of people to bring about a transformation
in the rural environment.

NGO located in Bangalore has its branch office at Jayanagar. Under health monitoring,
foundation have their ambulance using which I and my fellow volunteers used go to a
place where people do not have proper facilities and the opportunity for health checkup.
This activity was performed twice a week i.e., on Wednesday and Thursday. The event
usually starts at 1 PM in the noon and goes on till 5 PM. Before this, we had to initially
be at the office by 9 AM to make arrangements for the day by procuring required
materials or the equipment.

Aahwahan NGO along with the management of government girls school located at
Basavanagudi, Bangalore conduct events to inspire the students to get educated and this
event takes place on every Monday. We as a volunteer, had to involve in managing the
crowd in an auditorium. Along with this, we were involved in the procurement and
distribution of stationary materials and lunch to the students.

On Tuesday’s, we had to go for free meals distribution at the localities where people
suffer from basic amenities of life. Although, the event goes on just for 3 hours i.e., from
12 PM to 3 PM, volunteers had to reach early in the morning to help the chefs in
procurement of cooking materials. These would be several kilograms, as the food was
prepared for 150 persons every time. Also, we had to choose the localities for this event
by conducting a survey whenever some event finishes off early in the day.

On Friday’s, we had to brainstorm ideas to encourage students to pursue their education.

Basically, we had to let them know about the paths they have after completing their
schooling, and our team mainly had to focus on giving a brief about engineering and
science in an enthusiastic ways. Under this, we had planned a workshop on introducing
the students about aviation and aircrafts, along with making a glider. For this, we had to
procure materials and prepare a cut-outs of the parts before the event. These parts were
given to students to assemble and fly them.
