INFORMATION

For a thorough IR analysis, the plant needs to run at 50% capacity for at least one hour prior
to the inspection.

Explanation of reports.
Minor Condition: Temp Rise of 1-20 °F. Repair during regular maintenance, little chance of
physical damage.

Alert Condition: Temp Rise of 21-40 °F. Repair within 30 days. Watch amperage load and
inspect for physical damage.

SERIOUS CONDITION: Temp Rise of 41-60°F. Repair/Replace ASAP! Inspect surrounding

components for physical damage.

CRITICAL: Temp Rise > 61°F. IMMEDIATE REPAIR/REPLACEMENT.

DANGEROUS CONDITION EXISTS!

The Ambient temperature is shown to indicate the surrounding temperature.

The Reference temperature is shown to provide a reference to a similar object under the same
conditions as the object showing the high temperature.

The High temperature is the highest temperature registered either inside an area box, as seen
in IR images, or in the entire image.

The Temperature rise is shown to indicate the difference in temperature between the
Reference temperature and the High temperature.
