A. NGỮ PHÁP
1. Thì quá khứ hoàn thành
- Dấu hiệu: by the time, before, after, already, just, when, as soon as, until, by the end of +
time, by + time,…
- When:
• Diễn tả hành động nối tiếp nhau: When + QKĐ, QKĐ
o VD: When the rain stopped, we started to go back home.
• Diễn tả một hành động đang xảy ra thì có hành động khác xen vào: When + QKĐ, QKTD
o VD: When we came, he was taking a bath.
• Diễn tả một hành động hoàn thành trước một hành động khác: When + QKĐ, QKHT
o VD: When I arrived at the station, the train had already left.
- While:
• Diễn tả hai hành động xảy ra song song: Động từ ở hai vế sẽ là các thì ĐƠN hoặc TIẾP
DIỄN
o VD: They were talking while the teacher was explaining the activity.
• Diễn tả một hành động đang xảy ra thì có hành động khác xen vào: While + QKTD, QKĐ
o VD: I found these photos while I was cleaning out my cupboards.
- As soon as:
• Diễn tả hành động xảy ra nối tiếp nhau: As soon as + QKĐ, QKĐ
o VD: As soon as I got home, I called you.
- Before:
• Diễn tả hành động hoàn thành trước khi có hành động khác tới: Before + QKĐ, QKHT
o VD: He had lived in New York for 4 years before he moved to Ha Noi.
- After:
• Diễn tả hành động hoàn thành rồi mới tới hành động khác: After + QKHT, QKĐ
o VD: After I had finished my homework, I went to bed.
2. Cấu trúc của tính từ

It + be + adjective + to infinitive

• VD: It is necessary (for you) to complete the assignment before this Monday.

Subject + be + adjective + to-infinitive

• VD: I am pleased to see you today.

Subject + be + adjective + that-clause

• VD: I’m glad that you can spend time going out with me tonight.

3. Từ định lượng
- A/An
• “a”và “an” là hai mạo từ được dùng cho danh từ đếm được số ít.
• “a”đứng trước phụ âm, “an”đứng trước nguyên âm (u, e, o, a, i).
o VD: There is a cat.
o VD: Is there an egg ?
- Some:
• Dùng trong câu khẳng định, lời mời
• Đứng trước danh từ đếm được số nhiều và danh từ không đếm được
o VD: I have some friends.
- Any:
• Dùng trong câu phủ định và câu hỏi
• Đứng trước danh từ đếm được số nhiều và danh từ không đếm được
o VD: There aren’t any books in the shelf.
- Many:
• Thường dùng trong câu hỏi và câu phủ định, câu khẳng định được dùng ít hơn
• Đi với danh từ đếm được số nhiều
o VD: Do you have many cars?
- A lot of / Lots of:
• Được dùng trong câu khẳng định và câu nghi vấn
• Đi với danh từ không đếm được và danh từ đếm được số nhiều
o VD: We spent a lot of money.
- A few: có một chút, đủ để làm gì - Few: có rất ít, không đủ để làm gì
• Dùng trong câu mang tính khẳng định • Dùng trong câu mang tính phủ định
• Dùng với danh từ đếm được số nhiều • Dùng với danh từ đếm được số nhiều
