(Câu mệnh lệnh)

I. Câu mệnh lệnh khẳng định
V_inf + …..
Khi muốn người nghe thực hiện một hành động nào đó, chúng ta dùng một động từ nguyên thể mà
không cần chủ ngữ.
Eg: It’s cold, put some more clothes on and turn off the fan. (lạnh đấy, mặc thêm áo vào và tắt quạt đi)
Get up and make breakfast for me. (thức dậy và làm bữa sáng cho mình đi)
II. Câu mệnh lệnh phủ định
Đây là dạng tương tự như câu yêu cầu thông dụng với động từ nguyên thể, nhưng người nói không
muốn người nghe làm điều gì đó.
Do not / Don’t + V_inf + …
Eg: Do not cross the road while looking at your phone. (đừng băng qua đường khi đang nhìn chằm
chằm vào điện thoại)
Don’t forget to feed the dog today, son. (đừng quên cho con cún ăn hôm nay nhé, con trai)
III. Câu mệnh lệnh có đối tượng chỉ định
Ở dạng câu phía trên, chủ ngữ được ngầm hiểu là người nghe. Dạng câu đầy đủ của nó là một câu yêu
cầu có đối tượng chỉ định. Chúng ta cần chỉ rõ đối tượng của câu mệnh lệnh là ai.
Eg: Students from class 6a1, move to the soccer field. (học sinh lớp 6a1, di chuyển về phía sân bóng)
Watch where you’re going, children! (đi đứng cẩn thận chứ, mấy đứa)
IV. Câu mệnh lệnh với “DO”
Câu yêu cầu với trợ động từ “do” mang ý nghĩa nhấn mạnh vào hành động. Cấu trúc câu tương đối
đơn giản, bạn chỉ cần dùng “do” với một đồng từ nguyên thể.
Eg: Do finish your homework before the next class. (các em nhớ hoàn thành bài tập về nhà trước buổi
học tới nhé)
I know you cannot do it easily, but do try your best! (tôi biết bạn không thể làm việc đó một cách
dễ dàng, nhưng hãy cố gắng nhất có thể nhé)
V. Câu mệnh lệnh với “please”
Để câu cầu khiến không bị nặng nề và lịch sự hơn, chúng ta có thể sử dụng từ “please” ở đầu hoặc
cuối câu. “Please” có nghĩa là “làm ơn”, thường được sử dụng khi bạn muốn yêu cầu một người lạ
hoặc có vai vế cao hơn mình.
Eg: Please stand in line and wait for your order. (làm ơn hãy xếp hàng và đợi lấy đồ của bạn)
Keep silent and take notes of what’s on the board, please. (làm ơn hãy giữ trật tự và ghi bài vào vở)
