I/ LÝ THUYẾT
1.1. Cấu trúc thì

● S + be (am/ is/ are) + V-ing + (O)

Ví dụ:
Câu khẳng định
He’s thinking about leaving his job.
They’re considering making an appeal
against the judgment.
● S + be-not + V-ing + (O)

Câu phủ định Ví dụ:

I’m not looking. My eyes are closed tightly.
They aren’t arriving until Tuesday.
● Am/ Is/ Are + S + Ving?

Câu phủ định Yes, S + am/is/are.

No, S+ am/is/are + not.
Ví dụ: Are you doing your homework?
● (Từ để hỏi) + Be + S + V-ing + (O)?

Câu phủ định Ví dụ:

Who is Kate talking to on the phone?
Isn’t he coming to the dinner?

1.2. Cách sử dụng

● Diễn tả một hành động đang diễn ra tại thời điểm nói.

VD: I am watching TV now. (Tôi đang xem tivi bây giờ)

● Diễn tả một hành động nói chung đang diễn ra và chưa kết thúc, nhưng không nhất
thiết phải thực sự diễn ra ngay lúc nói.

VD: Anna is finding a job. (Anna đang tìm kiếm một công việc)

● Diễn tả một hành động chắc chắn sẽ xảy ra trong tương lai gần.
VD: He is going to Ha Noi tomorrow. (Anh ấy sẽ tới Hà Nội vào ngày mai)

● Diễn tả một hành động thường xuyên lặp đi lặp lại, thường được sử dụng với mục
đích phàn nàn về hành động khiến người nói khó chịu và bực mình.

VD: She is always turning music up too loud. (Cô ấy lúc nào cũng bật nhạc quá to)

● Diễn tả một sự việc đang thay đổi, phát triển nhanh chóng.

VD: Your English is significantly improving. (Tiếng Anh của bạn đang được cải thiện đáng
kinh ngạc)

1.3. Dấu hiệu nhận biết

Một số dấu hiệu nhận biết thì hiện tại tiếp diễn phổ biến như sau:

Trạng từ chỉ thời gian Một số động từ

● Now: Bây giờ ● Look! : Nhìn kìa!

● Right now: Ngay bây giờ ● Listen! : Hãy nghe này!)
● At the moment: Lúc này ● Keep silent! : Hãy im lặng!
● At present: Hiện tại ● Watch out! : Hãy coi chừng
● At + giờ cụ thể: Lúc … giờ
