A. KIẾN THỨC CẦN NHỚ

I. CẤU TRÚC
1. Câu khẳng định

Cấu trúc S + am/ is/ are + V-ing.

Lưu ý I - am

He/ She/ It/ Danh từ số ít - is

We/ You/ They/ Danh từ số nhiều - are

Ví dụ - I am playing chest with my father. (Tôi đang chơi cờ vua với bố tôi.)

- She is dancing. (Cô ấy đang múa.)

- We are taking a selfie. (Chúng tôi đang chụp ảnh tự sướng.)

- The kids are playing foodball. (Bọn trẻ đang chơi đá bóng)

2. Câu phủ định

Cấu trúc S + am/ is/ are + not + V-ing.

Lưu ý is not = isn’t are

not = aren’t

Ví dụ - I am not study English at the moment. (Lúc này tôi đang không học
tiếng Anh.)

- My sister isn’t cooking with me now. (Chị gái tôi đang không nấu
 ăn cùng tôi.)

- The guests aren’t watching the TV at present. (Hiện tại khách

khứa đang không xem ti vi.)

3. Câu nghi vấn

Cấu trúc Q: Am/ Is/ Are + S + V-ing?

A: Yes, S + am/is/are

No, S + am/is/are + not.

Ví dụ - Q: Are you taking a photo of me? (Anh đang chụp ảnh em phải
không?)

A: Yes, I am.

- Q: Is he going out with you? (Anh ấy đang đi chơi cùng bạn có phải
không?)

A: No, he isn’t.

- What are you studying right now? (Bạn đang học gì thế?)

MỞ RỘNG

- Với động từ tận cùng là MỘT chữ “e”  bỏ “e” rồi thêm “-ing”.
 Ví dụ: write – writing, type – typing, come – coming
 NGOẠI LỆ: Tận cùng là HAI CHỮ “e” ta không bỏ “e” mà vẫn thêm “-ing” bình
thường.
- Với động từ có MỘT âm tiết, tận cùng là MỘT PHỤ ÂM, trước là MỘT
NGUYÊN ÂM  nhân đôi phụ âm cuối rồi thêm “-ing”.
 Ví dụ: stop – stopping, get – getting, put – putting
 NGOẠI LỆ: begin – beginning, travel – travelling, prefer – preferring, permit
– permitting
- Với động từ tận cùng là “ie”  đổi “ie” thành “y” rồi thêm “-ing”.
 Ví dụ: lie – lying, die – dying
 II. DẤU HIỆU NHẬN BIẾT

Trạng từ chỉ thời – Now: bây giờ

gian:
– Right now: Ngay bây giờ

– At the moment: lúc này

– At present: hiện tại

– At + giờ cụ thể (at 12 o’lock)

Trong câu có các – Look! (Nhìn kìa!)

động từ (ngắn)
như: VD: Look! A girl is jumping from the bridge! (Nhìn kìa! Cô gái đang
nhảy từ trên cầu xuống!)

– Listen! (Nghe này!)

VD: Listen! Someone is crying! (Nghe này! Ai đó đang khóc.)

– Keep silent! (Hãy im lặng)

VD: Keep silent! The teacher is saying the main point of the lesson! (Trật
tự! Cô giáo đang giảng đến phần chính của cả bài!)

- Watch out! = Look out! (Coi chừng)

VD: Watch out! The train is coming! (Coi chừng! Đoàn tàu đang đến
gần kìa!)

III. CHỨC NĂNG

Chức năng 1 Diễn đạt một hành động đang xảy ra tại thời điểm nói

Chức năng 2 Diễn tả một hành động hoặc sự việc nói chung đang diễn ra nhưng không
nhất thiết phải thực sự diễn ra ngay lúc nói.

.......................to Japan tomorrow (Hôm đặt vé, nghĩa là đã lên kế
qua tôi đã mua vé máy bay rồi. Ngày mai tôi hoạch từ trước => Loại đáp
sẽ bay đến Nhật Bản.) án A

A. will fly Lịch trình bay đến Nhật là cố

định, không thể thay đổi trừ
B. am flying khi có sự cố => Loại C

C. am going to fly => Đáp án là B

Chức năng 3 Diễn đạt một hành động sắp xảy ra trong tương lai gần. Thường diễn tả
một kế hoạch đã lên lịch sẵn

He always (come)…..............late. (Anh ta Phàn nàn về 1 thói quen xấu lặp

C. is always coming

Chức năng 4 Hành động thường xuyên lặp đi lặp lại gây sự bực mình hay khó chịu cho
người nói. Cách dùng này được dùng với trạng từ “always,
continually”
