1. Cách dùng

HIỆN TẠI ĐƠN

1. Diễn tả một thói quen, một hành động xảy ra thường xuyên lặp đi lặp lại ở hiện tại.

Eg: He watches TV every night.

2. Diễn tả một chân lý, một sự thật hiển nhiên.

Eg: The sun rises in the East.

3. Diễn tả một lịch trình có sẵn, thời khóa biểu, chương trình

Eg: The plane leaves for London at 12.30 p.m.

4. Dùng sau các cụm từ chỉ thời gian when, as soon as… và trong câu điều kiện loại 1

Eg: I will call you as soon as I arrive.

1. Diễn tả một hành động đang xảy ra tại hiện tại.

Eg: The children are playing football now.

2. Dùng theo sau câu đề nghị, mệnh lệnh.

Eg: Look! The child is crying.

3. Thì này còn được dùng để diễn tả một hành động sắp xảy ra.

Eg: He is coming tomorrow.

S + V(s/es) S + am/is/are + V-ing

Ex: He frequently plays tennis. Ex: The children are playing football now.

S + do/does not + V-inf S + am/is/are + not + V-ing

Ex: She doesn’t usually play tennis. Ex: The children are not playing football right now.

Do/Does + S + V-inf? Am/Is/Are + S + V-ing?

Ex: Do you often play tennis? Ex: Are the children playing football at present?

3. Dấu hiệu nhận biết
