Reflection Question

In dealing with your emotions and feelings, how would you use “would”? Write one paragraph
using the modal verb "would' describing your emotion or feeling.

When dealing with my emotions and feelings, I would use the “would” to express politeness to
someone. Even while speaking to friends, we may occasionally use a polite tone to convey our
request in order to avoid being impolite. The modal verbs 'would' are especially helpful when
making respectful requests. These modals are used at the beginning of the request to make it
more courteous. For example “Would you please turn on the light? Would you help me carry
these bags? Would you please email the document to me?” Using “would” in these sentences will
be more polite if you are requesting something.
