 Traps to prevent the spread of fire: In the event of a fire, we must prevent flames from

entering the drainage system and spreading to other areas. Could you tell us where the traps
will be placed and how they will be designed?
Accidentally oil contaminated flow from paved area will be sloped towards Catch basin.
Outlet of catch basin is connected to Manhole with sealing arrangement means manhole has
sealed inlet from catch basin. The sealed inlet will trap or prevent the flames to go
downstream side.
Refer attached manhole standard drawing 4191-AQ-DC-0000000G12-IS0 for sealed manhole.

 Curbed areas seam not modelled.


For cubed Areas, equipment layouts are the input documents for Civil. Civil will verify the
model as per latest Equipment Layouts and update as required. Civil will model the curbing
requirement based on requirements through equipment layouts. So for resolution of this
query needs to be send to piping. Requirement for any curbing, if any, to be

Equipment layouts.
