The material of the water tank tower is mild steel. The properties of the materials of the materials
are

Analysis Part 1
1. a) Empty tank
= 10 x 9.81
= 981 N
2. Boundry conditions
The Fixtures and load of water tank tower are set as shown in Tables below. The
tables below contains fixture name, image of the face of fixtures and direction of load
applied, fixtures details and the details of load.

Fixed-1 Entitles: 16 faces
Type: Fixed
Geomatry
Value : 981N
Mesh Information
Table 4 contains mesh information as well as trailer frame specifacations. Figure 1 depicts the
meshmodel of the tower frame.
3. The study results for Von Mises stress are displayed in Figures 2 and below. The value
range is depicted on the right side of the picture.
The connecting area between the upper the upper frame and the wheel frame has the
highest value of Von Mises Stress, which is 7.544 e+03 Nmm2. The dark blue highlighted
zone represents the lowest value of Von Stress, which is 0 N/mm2.
4. Figure 3 demonstrate the study outcomes in terms of consequent displacement. The value
range is depicted on the right side of the picture.
The red highlighted region shown the maximum value of displacement which is 1.004 e-
03 mm. The dark blue highlighted region shown the minimum value ofdisplacement
which is 0 mm
5. Figure 4 demonstrate the study outcomes in terms of safety factor. The value range is
depicted on the right side of the picture
Under empty tank conditions, the tower frame has a safety factor of 60.
CONCLUSION
In comparison to analysis 1 and 2 has the lowest safety factor, the highest maximum Von
Mises Stress, and the largest displacement value. The design is acceptable: it can work
properly and complete the task. As a result, it is reasonable and appropriate to make.
PART B ( FULL TANK)
The material of the water tank tower is mild steel. The properties of the materials of the materials
are
Properties
A) Full Tank
= 89.4 x 9.81
= 877.014 N
6. Boundry conditions
The Fixtures and load of water tank tower are set as shown in Tables below. The tables
below contains fixture name, image of the face of fixtures and direction of load applied,
fixtures details and the details of load.

Mesh Information
Table 5 contains mesh information as well as trailer frame specifacations. Figure 1 depicts the
meshmodel of the tower frame.
7. The study results for Von Mises stress are displayed in Figures 6 and below. The value
range is depicted on the right side of the picture.
The maximum value of Von Mises Stress was 1.004 e-30 N/mm2 in the red highlighted
region, which was the connecting area between the upper frame and the wheel frame. The
dark blue highlighted zone represents the lowest value of Von Mises, which is 0 N/mm2.
9. Figure 7 demonstrate the study outcomes in terms of consequent displacement. The value
range is depicted on the right side of the picture.
The red highlighted region shows the greatest displacement value 1.098 e-02 mm. The dark blue
highlighted region represents the smallest value of displacement, which is 0 mm.
11. Figure 8 demonstrate the study outcomes in terms of safety factor. The value range is
depicted on the right side of the picture.
Under empty tank conditions, the tower frame has a safety factor of 3.7.
CONCLUSION
In comparison to analysis 1 and 2 has the lowest safety factor, the highest maximum Von
Mises Stress, and the largest displacement value. The design is acceptable: it can work
properly and complete the task. As a result, it is reasonable and appropriate to make.
