THE MALAYSIAN CONSTITUTION

Your group will be assigned one (1) of the following topics concerning issues of the Malaysian
Constitution:

1. Freedom of religion

2. Freedom of speech

3. Freedom of assembly

4. Freedom of association

5. Equality before the law

6. Rights in respect of education

After being assigned a topic, you are required to present your topic according to the followings:

a) Meaning/definition of the concept of law

b) Case law / legal issues

c) Expectations (hope) / comments of the group members

d) Conclusion/findings

GUIDELINES & INSTRUCTIONS

1. Presentation must be accompanied by visual aids using any reasonable

software/application. (e.g.: Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Sway, Canva etc.)
2. The duration of the presentation must be between 10-15 minutes.
3. Each group must prepare a HANDOUT for the audience.
4. Each group must summarize the other group’s presentations. (to be reviewed by the
lecturer after each group’s presentation via a suitable medium according to your respetive
lecturer; e.g.: Padlet).
5. Each group is highly encouraged to consult your respective lecturer for
feedback/clarifications before presenting. The consultation must be arranged within the
assignment completion period and must be recorded in the Group Assignment
Consultation Form as in Appendix 1.
6. A marking rubric for the assignment is in Appendix 2. Marks will be awarded on a group
basis.
