INSTRUCTIONS: IMAGINE THE FOLLOWING SITUATIONS. YOU AND A PARTNER HAVE TO REPRESENT DIFFERENT ROLES
FOR EACH SITUATION.

SITUATION 1: IN A RESTAURANT
STUDENT A:
You’re a waiter in a luxurious restaurant. You are going to take the order to your costumers. Remember to be polite.
Don´t forget to be quickly with the food.

STUDENT B:
You are a costumer and you want to eat in a luxurious restaurant. You need to order food. You feel that you didn’t get a
good service so you want to complain!

SITUATION 2: THE SCHOLARSHIP


STUDENT A:
You´re a student who is applying for a scholarship in an important university and you are going to be interviewed in
order to know if you are qualified.
You have to give your reasons why you deserve the scholarship.

STUDENT B:
You are the principal in an important university and you are going to choose one student for a scholarship.
You need to interview the students and ask them why they deserve to get the scholarship and think about the best
candidate.

SITUATION 3: IN A DEPARTMENT STORE


STUDENT A:
You are a costumer in a department store and you just have bought something. You forget to check your articles and
you find out that something is not in good conditions. You want to request a refund.

STUDENT B:
You are a salesman in a department store. You sold an article to a costumer. You didn’t realize that the article had
something wrong. The customer returns and asks you to exchange the article or a refund. You can’t do that but you
need to be polite!
