Before beginning with the description of the construction

of our project, we external the justification of why we used
cardboard instead of an aluminum can; This is because, in
our case, it made it difficult for the signal coming from the
circuit to pass through to the remote control, which
prevented our helicopter from rising. Therefore, we chose
to use another type of recyclable material: cardboard.

1.3 Construction process

1.3.1 Preparation of the main structure of

the helicopter: cabin

First, we draw on the cardboard the shape that we would

give it to make the main structure, we cut it out and
assemble it by gluing it with silicone. Subsequently, we
take care of placing a support inside that
to keep the engine in place, and thus prevent it from
falling to the lowest point of the cabin. This was done with
4 wooden sticks, going through about the middle of the
structure; two above and two below, which would also
ensure that the main axis did not move from where it
should remain.

1.3.2 Engine preparation

The circuit that we used to make the helicopter rise is the

circuit of a drone that belonged to one of the team
members, which was still working, but he did not use it, so
we reused it for the helicopter.

This circuit has four motors that move each of the four
propellers of the drone, therefore, we had to adapt it to
the needs of the project. To do this, we cancel the
currents of three of these motors and only leave one of
them working, which would be the one that would move the
main rotor propeller.

1.3.3 Manufacture of landing skids

In the creation of the skates we take a stick and cut it into
different pieces; two that measured 9cm and four pieces
that measured 2cm. Then, to each 9cm stick we glue two
2cm ones. And finally, we glue the resulting part on the
side that would be the bottom of the helicopter.

(The propellers and tail were obtained

from toys).
SECOND PART: OPERATION

For the operation of the helicopter, we must focus on what

we consider the central focus of the product; the
electrical circuit inside it.

2.1 How does it work?

The electrical circuit inside the can is connected to the

motor with small currents, transferring energy through
these and causing the circular movement of the rotor
blades, because it is attached to the motor through the
main axis, that is, the The circuit is connected to the
motor and the motor is linked to the main rotor, so we have
something like an energy transfer chain, where one part
conducts energy to another.

Carrying out the previous process, the rotor blades find

enough force thanks to the circular movement they make,
so that the helicopter begins to rise vertically.

The tail of the helicopter is a part of its

very important structure, since it serves us
to keep it stable during the flight and that
don't start having unexpected movements.
Finally, all this will be controlled by means of a remote
control that is linked to the helicopter system, it only
needs to have a charge to be able to use it.

2.2 How far does it fly?

Our helicopter rises
approximately:

m from
the
ground

And we estimate that you

can maintain the flight
during:

Approximately
between 1 minute
30 seconds and 8
minutes. without
overheating the
electrical circuit.
3. Conclusion

Finally, we conclude that this project shows us that with

the help of certain types of recyclable materials we can
let our imagination fly to create objects or projects, as in
this case, that with the help of our creativity and
ingenuity, we were able to devise a helicopter that would
keep your flight starting from the planning to do it with
said recyclable materials. We were also able to realize
the applications that physics has in everyday life, and
with this project, we were able to test some of them,
such as circular motion, the travel of radio waves, kinetic
energy, speed, and Newton's Law of Inertia.

On the other hand, we note that this work also promotes

the use of our ingenuity, creativity and our criteria to
solve problems that are presented to us. We consider it a
good way to make us develop better problem solving and
planning skills.
