The Philippines has been Christianized for 502 years and many Filipinos have expressed
their faith by being religious, e.g., devotion and popular piety. However, until now there are many
contradictions like massive poverty, i.e., the huge gap between the rich and the poor, graft and
corruption, drug addiction, and prostitution. What do you think are the reasons for these
contradictions or societal problems?
- Inequalities based on socioeconomic class, race, gender, and other factors are reflected
and reinforced by social problems that result from structural flaws in a society.
Wide-ranging societal change is necessary for effective social problems to be solved.
For me the reasons are the high rates of population growth, high and enduring levels of
inequality which mitigate the benefits of economic growth; high rates of inflation during
times of crisis and the structure of governmental systems.

2. What concrete ways can you suggest or recommend to gradually eradicate these
contradictions?
- I suggest that it should start with the citizens, electing the right leader who can make the
country better and fixing the governmental system. Giving the right for education to
everyone because expands our consciousness and our vision. We learn more about who
we are, how society works, and everything else that influences and surrounds us.

3. What is the difference between religiosity and spirituality?


- Religion involves a formalized body with rituals and procedures centered on a supreme
being or God, whereas spirituality involves an individual search for meaning in life.

4. What is wrong with ‘cafeteria Catholicism’?


- Cafeteria catholicism is someone who chooses which aspects of Catholic doctrine they
choose to accept, drawing criticism from the hard-core of believers. This is wrong
because it allows a person to disents his/her moral teachings of the Catholic Church like
thinking that abortion is okay.

5. What is the danger of relativism to Christianity?


- The term "relativism" does not refer to a single phenomenon or to every aspect of human
life equally. It is actually a collection of closely comparable epistemic attitudes, but they
have different implications for how we should see knowledge and truth.

6. What is the weakness of moral relativism?


- Moral relativism states that the logical consequence of relativism in faith and If all beliefs
are true, then all actions are good. The weakness of this view is that moral relativism
can’t be improve their morality

7. How did Thomas Aquinas explain the truth?


- St Thomas Aquinas explains truth, that truth is the equation of mind and thing. It involves
logically truthful, morally truthful and Ontological Truth.
8. What do you mean by logical truth?
- Logical truth states that when someone's thinking follows what is actually present in the
real world and his judgment is based on identical reality.

9. What do you mean by moral truth?


- Moral truth states that when a person's thoughts match what he or she says, words or
deeds

10. What do you mean by ontological truth?


- Ontological truth states that if they match the Creator's original vision for them, which
existed before they were created.
