Descriptive and Limiting Adjectives

Descriptive Adjectives are words that describe in terms of


appearance, size, shape, color, and quality.
Examples:
Today, my funny friend is coming to the house.
I hid inside my tiny closet.
My pillow is pink and round.

Limiting Adjectives are words that describe in terms of


number and quantity.
Limiting Adjectives (count)
One, two, three…
Number
First, second, last…
Quantity few, several, some, many, a number of

Examples:
I have a few coins in my pocket.
Anna has one sister.
She was the first guest to arrive in my party.

Directions: Identify if the underlined word is a Descriptive or Limiting
Adjective. On the blanks before each number, write D if the underkined
