This method statement defines the construction methodology for the installation
of HVAC DX HI WALL SPLIT Units. The work will be coordinated with other
services during the execution of work in line with the specifications, approved
TDS, approved MAS, approved shop drawings safety and quality requirements.

6. METHODOLOGY
Material Receipt
The materials received at stores / site shall be checked for manufacture details,
as per delivery note and as per approved material submittal to ensure delivery
is correct.
Verification of quantity as per delivery notes/Identification label, country of
origin, test certificates, shall be done properly.
The installer will receive a set of installation drawings from the factory with tag
numbers and hoisting shall be executed as per manufacturer
recommendations.
Sub-Contractor will be responsible for arrangement of unloading the DX HI
WALL SPLIT Indoor/Outdoor at store or dedicated place by client.
Responsibility for this lies with sub-contractor.
Check the size and quantity of the received DX HI WALL SPLIT unit as per the
requirement.
Check all the units having pre-filter, fan section and Coil section.
Check the dimensions of materials to ensure that they are in compliance with
requirement on DX HI WALL SPLIT unit.
Check whether the area is clear / civil & HSE clearance available for
installation.
Ensure easy access and enough clearance is provided for future operation and
other services
Install the indoor and outdoor units to its designated location by lifting it slowly
using suitable lifting equipment’s.
All pipe supports shall be done as per approved shop drawing
All pipe open ends shall be plugged properly.
Determine the position of DX HI WALL SPLIT unit and mark the location of
supports as preapproved shop drawings.
Prepare and fix the DX HI WALL SPLIT unit supports as per approved
construction drawing and specifications.
Install the DX HI WALL SPLIT unit by lifting it slowly to the required level.
Air inlet, outlet, fresh air connection and copper pipe connection orientation are
as per approved drawing.
Clean the DX HI WALL SPLIT unit and surrounding areas and remove all
excess materials.
Ensure that adequate space for maintenance of Indoor and Outdoor Units is
available.
Nitrogen cylinder with high pressure pneumatic hose, testing manifold, pressure
regulating valve, pressure gauges and other accessories will be connected to
the refrigeration piping at the lower end.
Nitrogen cylinder will be kept vertical and tied during the usage.
Noise level should not be more than 37 dB at medium speed at 1.5m distance
as per project specification and subjected to MAS approval.
Commissioning-
The joints for testing shall be selected co jointly by GGIAL & Mega wide
Engineer.
Motorized/Manual hydraulic pump having valid manufacturer’s test certificate
shall be used for hydrostatic pressure test.
DX HI WALL SPLIT unit may be tested as a whole or in sections to facilitate
progress of work.
All the required accessories are installed as per the approved GFC/Shop
drawings.
Check physically whether all joints are finished properly.
The dead ends and outlets are then plugged.
Ensure that the components in the circuit can withstand the testing pressure i.e.
DX HI WALL SPLIT unit, fittings, etc.
Filter should be installed after the Test run of equipment.
RECORDS:
All inspection formats and other records shall be as per project approved forms.
All activities will be executed in accordance with contractors HSE Plan and HSE
guidelines.
Safety risk assessment shall be performed for every job or task, which has the
potential for harm.
Ensure Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is available with all the workers.
All required equipment and tools should be checked before start of work for
suitability and integrity.
All safety Guidelines shall be adhered as per approved HSE Plan.
Necessary permit to work to be obtained as per the site requirement.
10. HOUSE-KEEPING:
Effective housekeeping can eliminate some work place hazards and helps to
get job done safely and properly.
The work area shall be maintained neat and tidy as reasonably practical all the
times
