My 4 approved variables were gender, messaging texting hours, favorite school subject and class

grade. Whereas gender and favorite school subject were qualitative, the other two (messaging

texting hours and class grade were quantitative). There were two questions Question 1

(Qualitative): How are males and females similar or different in their favorite subjects in

school?and

Question 2 (Quantitative): Do the number of texts sent differ between freshmen and seniors in

high school?

To answer the questions, I had to pick a random sample of 50 students (25 males and 25 females)
from a population of all USA high school students between the years 2010-2019.

The sample data I used is

For the qualitative question: For the female students the mode is science. Out of the 25

randomly selected females 7 of them selected science as their favorite school, subject. The

proportion of those who chose science is 0.28 or 28%. For the male students the mode is

Mathematics and Statistics. Out of the 25 randomly selected females 8 of them selected is

Mathematics and Statistics as their favorite school, subject. The proportion of those who chose
science is 0.32 or 32%. we conclude that are males and females are similart in their favorite

For the quantitative question: For the female students, there was no freshman female student

under the freshman. Therefore there was neither mean nor the standarddeviation for the

freshmen. However, for the men, the means for the freshman and senior students were 1.83 and

13.96 respectively. Their standard deviationss for the male freshman and senior students were

1.89 and 116.67 respectively. we conclude that the number of texts sent differ between

freshmen and seniors in high school differ
