Goal

Your goal is to apply the knowledge of equations and their slope to design
a logo that meets the requirements of a planning team

Role

You are just starting out in this company (you choose the company) where you
have been given the task of redesigning the logo for the company, one that is
visually attractive and lets viewers know what the company is about with one
image. Once your design is complete, you must present it to the executives of
the company (played by Mr. Bocock and Mrs. Lila).

Audience

Mr. Bocock, Mrs. Handal, along with other experts will view your presentation of
your final design.

Situation
The company needs a logo that inspires confidence and is attractive to the point
where the person who sees it again remembers the company and wants to buy
the product or associate with the company.

Product

Your product must be a logo drawn on the coordinate plane. You must create a
logo by using at least 20 lines. You are allowed to use more lines in order to
create a picture. You may not have a graph that is only composed of vertical and
horizontal lines. You will then choose 15 lines and write the endpoints of the line,
the slope of the line, and the equation of the line using slope intercept form. You
may use as many vertical and horizontal lines in creating the picture, but you
cannot use them when you are writing the equations. You will do it on a normal
size graphing paper, with a first draft and then on a big sheet of graphing paper
that will be provided to you so you can draw the final product, it must be colored,
nice and neat. The rubric is below and it is also in the assignment in google
classroom. You must bring the equations template printed out, failure to do so
means that you will not be able to get full credit in the equations section of the
rubric.

On the first day of working on the project, students are expected to draw a rough
draft of their project, they may choose any company as long as it is appropriate.
On the second-day students are expected to write the equations of the 15 lines of
their choosing, this may extend to part of the third day. Fourth to sixth day,
students are expected to draw their graph on the large graphing paper and color in
their final product.
The picture above is an example of what your finished product should look like, the business is for an
alligator/crocodile farm.
Use the following format in order to show your work for the 15 lines:

Have fun and be creative!

Standards
You will be evaluated by using the following rubric:
