PURPOSIVE TASK

1. Formulate a plan of activities for each of Smith’s Models of Health to be applied by an individual in order to
have good health and well-being. At least 3 for each model. Make use of the form below:

CLINICAL MODEL
- Conduct a thorough evaluation of a patient's
physical, mental, and social well-being to identify
areas of concern and to develop a comprehensive
treatment plan.

-Address mental and emotional well-being through


various therapies and counseling sessions to help
patients cope with stress, anxiety, and other
emotional challenges.

-Educate patients on the importance of healthy


habits, such as exercise and healthy eating, to
promote overall well-being and prevent the onset of
chronic conditions.
ROLE PEFORMANCE MODEL
-Educate patients on the importance of self-care and
stress management, and provide them with tools
and strategies to maintain their physical and mental
health in the face of their daily roles and
responsibilities.

-Assess a patient's ability to fulfill their roles and


responsibilities in life, and identify any factors that
may be hindering their ability to do so, such as
physical or mental health problems.

-Connect patients with community resources and


services that can help them fulfill their roles and
responsibilities, such as support groups, health
clinics, and employment programs.
ADAPTIVE MODEL
-Teach patients effective coping skills and strategies
to help them better manage stress, anxiety, and
other challenges in life.

-Assess a patient's ability to adapt to new situations


and challenges, and identify any areas where they
might benefit from additional support.

-Educate patients on the importance of self-care,


healthy habits, and stress management, and provide
them with tools and resources to improve their
physical and mental health.
EUDEMONISTIC MODEL
-Help patients explore their passions and interests,
and connect them with activities and opportunities
that align with their values and goals.

-Assess a patient's level of life satisfaction and


identify areas where they may benefit from
additional support.

- Offer counseling and therapy to help patients


explore their values, goals, and aspirations, and to
provide emotional support during difficult times.
