“HOPE Drone: Help to Other People in

Emergency”
During situations that need immediate response from
emergency responders, the most important factor is the
responders’ safety. Emergency responders struggle for their
own safety while rescuing casualties during emergencies that
is beyond one’s control. Because of this issue, responders
take valuable time to analyze the area before dispatching a
unit to ensure the responders’ safety in an emergency. The
most common solution is to utilize conventional surveillance
drones. However, conventional surveillance drones frequently
lack speed due to it’s fixed upward propeller engines. The
best solution is to create a new way to create search and
rescue drones. With the HOPE Drone, the innovation aims to
help improve the mobilization of unmanned aerial vehicles
with a tiltrotor propeller engine to perform vertical take-off
and landing (VTOL) technology. With VTOL, HOPE Drone will
enhance the capabilities of aerial drones to perform tasks
that is not possible with conventional drones.

OBJECTIVES
GENERAL
 To determine the efficiency of the HOPE Drone.
 To find the accuracy of the HOPE Drone.
 To determine if the HOPE Drone can carry cargo.

SPECIFIC
 To measure the speed of the HOPE Drone to respond in
a disaster.
 To estimate the accuracy of the HOPE Drone to locate
casualties.
 To measure the payload that HOPE Drone can carry.

RESEARCH GAP
Based on the literature and studies discovered by the
researcher about the use of tiltrotor engine designs. The
studies are mainly focused on the advantages and
disadvantages of vertical take-off and landing drone designs,
rather than the benefits of using it to perform search and
rescue missions. The aim of this study is to answer the
question about the benefits of using VTOL drones to be
mobilized for search and rescue missions and how can it help
eliminate the risk of human life.
