29. Arthropoda is the largest phylum of kingdom animalia. It 4
includes about 80% of total animals. Arthropods are also
most successful animals. Different types of arthropods
have different types of mouth parts which assist in their
feeding. Similarly different arthropods have different
types of respiratory and excretory organs.

30. Biological classification is undergoing changes. In the 4


beginning, only few characters were picked up arbitrarily.
Gradually more characters were used for classification.
Two kingdom classification was revised to three kingdom
classification. In this kingdom protista was added. It was
followed by four kingdom classification by
Copeland(1955). Kingdom monera was added in it. Five
kingdom system of classification (Whittaker, 1963) came
into force. Woese added another kingdom called Archea.
