ARTIST RESIDENCY

INTRODUCTION

A one-stop destination that fosters creativity, innovation and knowledge, working

towards sustainable development of Indian Crafts, Crafts Village offers various
programs and workshops in craft appreciation, design, art and culture, and self
exploration.

NEED FOR THE PROJECT

It gives an artist time to work and space to work, away from their normal lives.
The second part of the equation is that residencies place artists in new communal
contexts with new peers and mentors from all over the world.

AIM

To Create a Hub which would attract Artists, Designers , etc , Creating a platform
for regional cinemas with amalgamation of art and culture and for practical
learning with a place to live in and amongst like minded peers.

OBJECTIVES

● To Develop a planning scheme which is simple and carefully define where

the public, semi public, private areas are.
 ● To achieve maximum transparency of space with intermingling of indoor and
outdoor spaces
● To Design with combination of Natural, Creative, Enjoyable and a relieving
casual space and professional environmental institute Create another major
hot-spot in the city for tourism.

SCOPE

Site planning of the whole HUB with relation to both indoor and outdoor areas will
be a challenge. and also the challenge to isolate the spaces in terms of privacy
because it will even serve as a gallery and market space for the users.
StreetScapes ,Landscapes add values to the site and make the area more
interesting
