4.1. Operational checks and procedures

Operation Description
Preparation: Fill suitable pots with water and place them on the left/right IH heaters. (Refer to: Types of Pots and Pans that can be used in the
Operating Instructions.)
1.Turn the main power switch on. • The Power switch is lit.

* Turns off automatically if a button is not pressed within approximately one minute.
2.Press the Off/On button on the • The cooking ring is lit and the heat level indicator is displayed on level 6. (The cooling fan starts rotating.)
right/left operation panel. • Change the heat level with the heating UP and DOWN buttons.

• Press the heating UP button for longer than one second while the heat level is on 8. This will activate level
9 (2.6kW-boiling).

• When either IH is on level 9 (2.6kW-boiling), turning on the other IH will automatically drop the level 9 IH to
level 8.
*The maximum duration of an IH at level 9 is ten minutes. After ten minutes the level automatically drops to
8.
• When one IH is used on level 8, the maximum level of the other IH is 5.
• The maximum heating level of both IHs simultaneously is 7.

Each time the Congee button is pressed, the number of servings indicator switchesbetween 4 and 2.

(3)Press the Timer "-" or "+" button. • Each button press adds or deducts 10 minutes within the 2-3 hour time range.
* Press and hold for rapid mode.

(4)Press the Off/On button. • The Congee program starts.

The cooking ring is lit and the Congee symbol is illuminated.

* When 3 hours (or the set time) has elapsed, the buzzer will sound and the power will automatically turn
off.
*The Congee setting will be cleared if the Timer or the Off/On button is not pressed within 10 seconds.

4.2.4. Power supply check mode (OVD checking)
In this mode, an abnormal power supply can be checked. Use this mode, when one or more of the following symptom occur.
Symptom:
• It takes an excessively long time to boil water. (The indicators on the operation panel are normal.)
• The pot/pan intermittently stops heating up. (The indicators on the operation panel are normal.)
• The indicators on the operation panel disappear momentarily, or display intermittently. (Heating power starts/stops simulta-
neously with the blinking indicators.)
Note:
• If "C01" is displayed in this mode, the unit itself is not malfunctioning. This indicates that the power being supplied to it is abnor-
mal, either due to an incorrect supply voltage or a disturbance in the waveform, caused by electrical noise or for other reasons.
• OVD (Over Voltage Defense,) is a damping function that is activated to temporarily stop operations in order to prevent the inner
circuit of the IH cooktop from overheating.
Remedy:
• Ascertain the source of the power supply noise and remove it. (Refer to "Noise Incidents" - KAD0507001BE.)
1. Check if the electrical noise is being caused by other equipment in the house.
2. If the noise is a coming from an outside source, approach your power company for assistance.

5 Disassembly and Assembly Instructions
Important
• Be sure to turn off the circuit breaker before disassembling the IH cooktop.
• For assembly, refer to the tips provided and bear in mind that assembly is done in the reverse order of the disassembly proce-
dure.

5.1. Main IH Cooktop Unit

1. Remove the main IH cooktop unit from the cabinet (Built-
in type).
• If the top plate has been bonded to the counter with seal-
ant tape (Sealing tape A), remove the tape with a plastic
spatula, taking care not to damage the counter.
2. Disconnect the power to the IH cooktop by removing the
plug from the electrical outlet.

18
5.2. Top plate
1. Remove the screws A (10 pcs).
Screw A: Panhead Deltite screw 4+6

2. Lift the top plate.

The top plate is wired to the operation panel. When
removing the plate, first lift the back of the top plate to
avoid damaging the wiring.

3. Hold the top plate on edge and disconnect the control

lead wires C and D from the cable clips A at left and right.

4. Detach the connectors of the lead wires C and D.

d. Attach the panel sheet or the power panel sheet.

Note:
The surface of the panel base must be clean.
Clean off all old glue as the old glue will prevent a waterproof seal from forming when the panel is replaced.
e. Stick the sheet down firmly by pressing evenly on the
sheet surface. Do not allow airgap between the sheet
and the panel base. (Press on the sheet edge well,
and make sure it has no airgap interfering with the
seal.)
