PEER TUTORING AGREEMENT

WE AGREE TO:

 Respect each other’s time and arrive on time for every tutoring session.

 Contact each other at least 24 hours in advance if rescheduling is necessary.

 Discuss subsequent weeks’ tutoring content and be prepared for the tutoring session.

 Meet the minimum tutoring requirement of 20 hours by the end of the course.

 Be committed in improving our understanding on subject(s) being tutored.

 Only have tutoring sessions on campus grounds or online.

WE UNDERSTAND:

 Two “no shows” without a prior 24-hour notification will result in losing privilege in
tutoring or receiving tutoring.

 Tutors may share certain information regarding the tutorial session with the Program
Leader for the purpose of improving their tutorial skills so that they may assist tutees
in attaining their academic goals.

 The English Studies Unit and tutors will not be held accountable for any grade
obtained by the tutee for the subject(s) he/she is being tutored for that semester.

TUTOR:

 Will maintain confidentiality of personal information revealed by tutee.

 Will contact the lecturer of subject(s) tutored to obtain any current information about
the course.
