History of Montelago:
According to the people I asked in our barangay they say
that Montelago was one of the first barangays to be
organized under a municipal council system in 1905.
That’s all they know, but I’m not satisfied because in my
heart I know montelago has a lot history that’s why so I
researched and analyzed that our barangay It was also one
of the battlegrounds during various revolts and uprisings
against Spanish rule, American occupation, and Japanese
invasion

The Language used:


The language we use is a Tagalog
Economic standing:
The economic standing of Montelago is cococnut,
rice, fish being significant contributors in the local
economy.

Geography(Location):
Montelago is situated at approximately 13.2145,
121.3893, in the island of Mindoro. Elevation at these
coordinates is estimated at 213.5 meters or 700.5 feet
above mean sea level.
Demography(Number of population):
Montelago is a barangay in the municipality of Naujan, in
the province of Oriental Mindoro. Its population as
determined by the 2020 Census was 2,057. This
represented 1.88% of the total population of Naujan.
