VIETNAM BUSINESS INNOVATION CHALLENGE 2024

Cuộc thi Vietnam Business Innovation Challenge (VBIC) 2024, được đồng
tổ chức bởi trường Đại học Fulbright Việt Nam và Trường Phổ thông liên cấp
Olympia, là cuộc thi giải quyết tình huống kinh doanh dành cho học sinh THPT
các trường trong khu vực Đông Nam Á. Cuộc thi được tổ chức nhằm thúc đẩy
tư duy đổi mới sáng tạo; tạo điều kiện cho học sinh tiếp xúc trực tiếp và tham
gia giải quyết các vấn đề thực tế trong kinh doanh của doanh nghiệp.

Trường Đại học Fulbright Việt Nam xin gửi tới Quý trường các thông tin chi
tiết về VBIC 2024, cụ thể như sau:
1. Chủ đề: Phát triển bền vững trong kinh doanh
2. Giải thưởng:
• Học tập một tuần hoàn toàn miễn phí tại Trường ĐH Fulbright Việt Nam
cho các nhóm thuộc Top 3 (bao gồm trợ cấp đi lại, ăn ở).
• Được tham gia chuyến tham quan học hỏi một tuần (Entre Tour) tới
Philippines tài trợ học bổng lên đến 95% dành cho các nhóm thuộc Top
10.
• Các khoá học với học bổng bán phần tại Education First Vietnam dành
cho các nhóm thuộc Top 50.
3. Thời gian:
• Tháng 1: Mở đơn đăng ký. Các đội tới từ bất kỳ trường THCS và THPT
nào tại Đông Nam Á.
• Tháng 2: Vòng chọn lọc hồ sơ. Tất cả các đội đã đăng ký nộp một video
đề xuất giải pháp kinh doanh. Top 50 đội sẽ tiến vào Vòng Tuyển chọn.
• Tháng 3: Vòng Tuyển chọn, Đào tạo và Cố Vấn. Top 50 sẽ tham gia
một chuỗi đào tạo chuyên sâu trước khi thuyết trình trực tuyến. Sau đó,
10 đội xuất sắc nhất sẽ tiến vào vòng chung kết.
• Tháng 4: Vòng Chung kết. Top 10 đội thuyết trình trực tiếp trước Ban
giám khảo tại Trường ĐH Fulbright Việt Nam (TP. Hồ Chí Minh) – có hỗ
trợ đi lại tối đa 5 triệu đồng/ đội tùy vào khả năng tài chính của các đội
4. Đối tượng dự thi: dự thi theo đội (3 thành viên) là các học sinh từ 14 tuổi
trở lên, đang theo học THCS hoặc THPT, có hứng thú với các chủ đề kinh
doanh và đổi mới sáng tạo, có năng lực tiếng Anh tốt.
5. Cách thức đăng kí: đăng ký tại đường link https://bit.ly/VBIC2024
6. Hạn đăng kí: Thời gian đăng ký được diễn ra song song với thời gian thực
hiện Vòng 1. Các đội thi có thể đăng ký và nộp video của mình muộn nhất
trước 23:59 ngày 29/2/2024. Đề bài cho Vòng 1 sẽ được công bố vào ngày
5/2/2024 qua email.

7. Lưu ý: toàn bộ các bài thuyết trình tại 3 vòng thi đều sử dụng tiếng Anh.

I. GENERAL INTRODUCTION

About The Olympia Schools


Founded in 2007, The Olympia Schools (TOS) is a comprehensive educational

About Vietnam Business Innovation Challenge (VBIC)


VBIC is a selective business case competition for students of schools in Southeast
Asia. VBIC aims at the following:
• Tackling real business challenges of leading and innovative companies in
Vietnam and the region,
• Learning and applying various innovation approaches and methodologies in
solving business problems,
• Training and mentorship by leading industry experts and innovators,
• Opportunities to compete and learn on national, regional and international
platforms,
• Gaining exposure to college learning and professional development
opportunities.

*A financial support of maximum VND 5 million will be provided to members of the
Top 10 teams to travel and participate in the Final Round in HCMC. This applies to
team members living outside of HCMC who apply for travel subsidies only.
**Funding for the 5-day study trip includes transportation to HCMC (maximum VND
4 million/ student), stipend (VND 300,000/ student/ day) and accommodation
(tentatively at Fulbright dorm, or outside based on Fulbright cost norm). During the
trip, students can attend any classes at Fulbright University Vietnam. Students can
choose anytime (maximum 5 days) from after they are awarded until the last two
weeks of Spring Semester for the study trip. Each team (3 members) must choose and
attend classes at the same timeframe. Cost for companion(s) (for example, parents)
will not be covered.
***Percentage of granted funding against total cost.

III. PARTICIPANTS
Each team should consist of 3 students who are:
• At least 14 years old upon registration.
• Students of schools in Southeast Asia.
• Fluent in English. All activities, including presentations and training sessions,
will be conducted in English.
• Having a basic knowledge and/or interest in any of the following areas:
+ Business fundamentals
+ Economics and Finance
+ Problem solving and analytical skills.

Registration deadline: The registration time will take place simultaneously
with Round 1 - Screening round. Contestants are allowed to register and submit
their videos latest by 11.59pm, 29 February 2024.

The theme of VBIC 2024 is Sustainability in business.

VII. CONTEST RULES
VBIC consists of 3 rounds, as follows:
1. Screening round:
• All registered teams can participate in this round.
• Each team will be provided with a business case which they have 20 days to
prepare and submit a video presenting the analysis of and solutions to.
• How to submit:

2. Qualifying round:
• Only Top 50 teams from the Screening Round can participate in this round.
• After receiving a business case, each team will have 1 week to prepare and
present their presentation deck including the case analysis and solutions to
the judging panel online. Within this one week, each team will have a chance
to present their deck and receive feedback from one mentor.
• How to submit:

3. Final round:
• Only top 10 teams from the Qualifying Round will proceed to this round.
• After receiving a business case, each team will have 3 hours to prepare and
present their case analysis and solutions to the judging panel offline in HCMC.
• There will be no support from anyone else other than the 3 team members
during these 3 hours. Any team that violates this rule will have their rights of
participation terminated immediately.
4. General rules
• All presentations must be in English.
• Each presentation will last for 20 minutes, followed by a 10-minute Q&A
session.
• Each team member is expected to present at least once during each
presentation.
