A. INTRODUCTION
Many students are having a hard time doing their practical research 2. That even though
research helps the student for learning purposes, we cannot ignore the fact that in reality, they
Based on the internet, Research was originally derived from the FRENCH word
"Cerchier" which means "search or seek". The prefix "re" which means 'again' signifies the
possibility of seeking the Truth again on certain aspects of a problem which was studied
before from a different and distinct point of view hence, the word research was
conceptualized. Practical Research is one of the subjects in senior high school which aims to
develop the student’s critical thinking and problem solving skills. Research output of
students is either quantitative or qualitative. It is also the systematic process of collecting and
analyzing information (data) in order to increase our understanding of the phenomenon about
writing practical research including the difficulty selecting a research topic specially if you
don't have any idea how or where to start. Poor methodology knowledge, these guidelines
will make the research project manageable so if the student has poor knowledge in
methodology they will not able to handle or manage the research correctly. Poor subject
matter comprehension when students don't understand this subject they're gonna lose interest
in doing it. So it is very important to understand first what is all about their subject before
they accomplish the research. Lack of time, sometimes students are pressured and it may
caused what we call 'rush'. So if student's rushed the research there's a possibility that they
won't give their best while doing it and also bad research guiding. These are just the common

A. RESEARCH DESIGN
The descriptive survey method was used in the study. It is descriptive because it
gathers data from relatively large number of cases at particular time. It is not
statistics that result when data are abstracted from a number of individual cases
Simple random sampling will be used in this study. A ‘sampling frame’ identifies
the sampling units in a population and their locations. It may consist of a listing of
sampling units, or it may be based on a map of the population area within which

The research target population involved a total of 212 Grade 12 students of Roxas
Stand Alone Senior High School in Roxas Isabela . The respondents is composed of a
total of 451.
Among the target population of 451 respondents, the study utilized the sample size of
two hundred twelve (212) Grade 12 students of Roxas Stand Alone Senior High
School in Roxas Isabela, with a confidence level of 95% and margin of error of 5%.
The researchers arrived at the sample size using the Slovin’s formula:
After the study had been approved by the panel of examiners, a permission was
requested from the Principal , likewise to the Teacher in Charge to float the
questionnaire to the students, parents and teachers. The questionnaire floated to them
were retrieved after a week. All the answer were properly computed and tabulated,
D. RESEARCH INSTRUMENT
The needed data were gathered by a structured questionere for the students. Part I
consist of the personal profile of students and Part II , the attitudenaire to assess the
attitudes and study habits of the students. The attitudenaire was used to determine
senior high school students attitude and study habits toward Practical Research 2 as a
subject.
The questionnaire was patterned from the studies of Alejandro with some

Summary of Findings
The main purpose of this study is to determine the Difficulties Encountered

Conclusion
In finding the answers in this study, the primary problem of these students
ideas they can expand it in many different ways, but the problem begins in
their selves. Student's are here in the school to learn, difficulties are normal.
Student's just have to put some efforts and do their best in doing their
Recommendation
1. Some Future researcher can base in this study and get an idea.
2. This study encourage the students to make an effort in doing their practical
3. This study can also give a lesson to some teachers and parents for them to know
that students are having a hard time. They could easily understand them through this
study because these are supported with other past studies and studied well.
