GENDER AND DEVELOPMENT PROPOSAL

PROJECT TITLE: OK ka sa UIS

TARGET DATE: May 20-21, 2022

Venue: Pagudpud, Ilocos Norte

I. RATIONALE

Pursuant to Executive Order No. 273 entitled Approving and Adopting


in the Philippine Plan for Gender -Responsive Development, 1995 – 2005
that directs all agencies to institutionalize gender and development( GAD )
activities in government, and republic act No. 9710, otherwise known as
Magna Carta For Women, that mandates gender mainstreaming and gender
responsiveness in all agencies’ programs, activities, projects, and policies.
In view of this, Uguis Integrated School will be conducting a seminar on
health and wellness protocols and will be distributing Multivitamins and
PPEs to all the teachers.

II. Overview

The Gender Development Program aims not only for awareness of


gender sensitivity but also for the improvement of the health among other as
specified in the Sustainable Development Goal. This is the reason why Uguis
Integrated School aims conduct lecture on Health and Wellness and to
provide multivitamins and PPEs to the teachers. The lecture will serve as an
encouragement to teachers to promote physical and mental well-being for
excellent performance. Also, the multivitamins will serve as a booster for the
teachers. In modesty aside the teachers are the most important front liners
in the school, it is therefore very important that they are healthy everyday in
facing their clienteles, the learners. Moreover, the participants will be
oriented on the importance of using PPEs and taking multivitamins
regularly.
III. OBJECTIVES/STRATEGIES

1. To capacitate the teachers on health service delivery indulging


gender and Development
2. To encourage teachers to promote physical and mental well-being for
excellent performance
3. Provide Multivitamins and PPEs for the Teachers
4. To reduce the levels of stress and anxiety by converting food into
energy that keep the nervous system functioning properly, and to
produce stress hormones which can replenish their body's supply by
using multivitamins
5. To orient the beneficiaries on the importance of using PPEs and
taking vitamins.

IV. EXPECTED OUTPUT

1. Teachers will have sufficient information on health and wellness


2. Teachers should have been provided with PPEs and multivitamins to
improve their nutritional status.
3. Participants will be fully knowledgeable on the usefulness of PPEs
and taking vitamins.

The school will be submitting an acknowledgement receipt on the
distributed multivitamins and PPEs and will be providing a narrative report
on the seminar after the implementation of the program.
