Title: Footboard accident prevention system in buses

Guide: Dr.S.Annapoorani Signature:

Introduction:

In the realm of public transportation safety, the implementation of a Footboard Accident Prevention
System in buses emerges as a paramount solution. This innovative system is designed to address and
mitigate the potential risks associated with boarding and alighting, particularly focusing on accidents
related to footboards. By incorporating advanced sensors and alarm mechanisms, the system aims to
provide timely alerts to drivers, fostering a safer environment for passengers during entry and exit. This
introduction sets the stage for a comprehensive approach to enhance overall bus safety and minimize
the occurrence of footboard-related accidents.

**Existing Problem:**

The current bus systems often lack adequate safety measures, particularly regarding footboard-related
accidents. Passengers are vulnerable to slips, trips, and falls during boarding or alighting, leading to
injuries and potential fatalities. The absence of real-time monitoring and alert systems exacerbates this
risk.

**Proposed System:**

The Footboard Accident Prevention System addresses these shortcomings by introducing sensors on
footboards. These sensors detect passenger movements and trigger alarms for drivers, ensuring
immediate awareness of potential hazards. The proposed system aims to proactively prevent accidents,
significantly enhancing passenger safety during boarding and disembarkation processes.
