inactivity.
CHARACTERISTICS
Being lazy, indifferent and purposeless,
self-centred, failing to get involved with
others, not taking an interest in
productivity, no efforts to improve the self.

STAGNATION COMES IN MANY FORMS.


Maybe you are exhausted, you feel insecure
or afraid of making a mistake so you post
pone important decision.

feel disconnected or uninvolved with their


community or with society as a whole.
IT IS NOT ONLY A PSYCHOLOGICAL CONDITION BUT ALSO A PHYSICAL ONE.

stagnant, or stuck.

Their thinking is fixed and narrow.


Their breathing is held, shallow, or irregular,
and some muscles feel tight or weak.

HOW CAN YOU STOP SUFFERING THIS CONDITION?


change the direction you continue to

start practicing meditation and deep


breathing, allow the breath to flow
through you.

Meditating or praying can be its


remedy.
IS THIS CONDITIONS EXIST ONLY NOWDAYS?
This feeling of oppression doesn’t only
exist today but was present in the minds
of people even centuries ago.

This condition is subdivided by Joyce in
four stages: childhood, adolescence,
maturity and public life.
although the characters realize this condition
they didn’t react, they do nothing to change it,
for fear of getting worse
