1.RATIONALE:

New technologies offer exciting opportunities to engage student learning in new

ways. One of the new-technology potentials for motivating students to learn is
gamification, which can be defined as “the use of game-design elements in non-game
contexts” (Deterding etal., 2011: 9). In the past decade, the popularity of gamification
increased rapidly, and various cases are known in which businesses, web designers,
and education workers used gamification in order to engage and motivate a target
group with successful outcomes (Chou, 2017; Mollick and Rothbard, 2014).
DepEd Order No. 70, s. 2010 which aims to provide public schools
computerization program that would enhance the teaching- learning processand meet
the challenges in the 21st century. It allows that ICT must be integrated in the school
system.
Teachers find ways to have his/her class not only educational but also fun and
engaging. With the help of new technologies, teachers can create an interactive game
that can help him/her deliver his/her lesson successfully. These interactive games are
patterned in “learning by doing” philosophy.
With the above rationale, the Singatong Elementary School will conduct In-
Service Traning seminar/workshop on creating interactives via powerpoint
presentation cum accessing LRDMS Portal also mastering the Silvertek application as
a tool in teaching- learning process.
