Increasing your emotional
intelligence means increasing
your emotional awareness of
both yourself and others.

intelligence
Emotional intelligence is a type
of social intelligence that
involves the ability to monitor
one's own and others' emotions,
to discriminate among them, and
to use the information to guide
one's thinking and
actions (Salovey & Mayer, 1990).

1. A person who is always nice, kind, and smiling.

2. A person who knows when to be nice, kind, serious, or even angry!

3. A person who can read other people’s minds by paying attention to their facial expressions.

4. A person who can communicate effectively with others to understand their emotions.

5. A person who sheds tears or gets emotional in such situations as watching a romantic movie.

6. A person who can understand his/her emotions and control those emotions.
