1st Quarter

I. Objective
Visualizes, represents, and compares numbers up to 100 using relation symbols

B. Materials: Video presentation(uses ICT to address learning goals), printed
pictures, number cards, written IM’s, and printed formative test (uses
formative and summative assessment strategies consistent with curriculum requirements)

III. Procedure
A. Preliminary Activities
1. Review: Ask the pupils the following questions:
a. What was our lesson last time?
b. What expression will you use in this numbers?
i. 6 darudako kaysa ha 3
ii. 4 guruguti kaysa ha 8
iii. 5 parehas la ha 5
2. Motivation: The teacher will show a video called “Number Gators.” The teacher
will ask first the pupils on how they will behave while watching the video.
(Manages learner behavior constructively by applying positive and non-violent discipline to
ensure learning-focused environment)

B. Lesson Proper
1. The teacher will ask the pupils the following questions:
a. What is in the video?

2. The teacher will show sets of pictures. The teacher will show the pupils how to
use the relation symbols using hungry alligators in comparing sets and numbers.

2. Activity 2 (Pupil to Material)


The teacher will show number cards. The teacher will call a pupil to pick
two number cards and compare the numbers using the
correct relation symbol.

3. Activity 3 (Pupil to Pupil)


The pupils will look for a partner. The teacher will distribute one number
card to each pupil. Each partner will go to the front to show their number and
compare them using relation symbols.

D. Generalization
The teacher will ask the pupils the following questions:
1. How do we compare numbers? (HOTS)
Remember:
In comparing numbers, we use the relation symbols ˃, ˂ or =. If the
number is two-digit, compare first the tens place before the ones place.
