The USR-M100 can connect to AWS IoT via MQTT. In this case, users can get how to access the AWS IoT step by step.

2.1. Log in the account

Login address: https://www.amazonaws.cn/en/. If you don’t have a account, please create a account first.

2.2. Create thing

1> Manage-->All devices-->Things-->Create things

2> Create single thing

3> Enter the user-defined thing name and choose the thing type

4> Auto-generate a new certificate

Save the certificates and keys in a safe location.

2.4. Create policy

1> Manage-->Security-->Policies-->Create policy

2> Enter user-defined policy name and edit policy effect

2.5. Associate policies with certificates

1> Security-->Certificates-->click the just generated certificate

2> Policies-->Attach policies

2.6. Check the device data endpoint

On Settings page, we can see the endpoint information. This information is needed later.

3. Configuration of USR-M100
3.1. Basic configuration

1> Enable AWS IoT service

2> Client ID: User-defined thing name in Section 2.2

3> Server address: The endpoint information in Section 2.6

4> Server Port NO.: 8883

5> SSL: TLS1.2 and Verify All

3.2. Publish

1> Enable publish topic1,

2> Transmission Mode: Transparent transmission,

3> Topic String: User-defined, in this case, it’s “/PubTopic100”,

4> Binding port: Port 1.

3.3. Subscribe

1> Enable publish topic1,

2> Transmission Mode: Without Topic

3> Topic String: User-defined, in this case, it’s “/SubTopic100”,

4> Binding port: Port 1.
