Compared with their counterparts, present day teacher’s has a vast and often bewildering range
of instructional materials. These can, however can be conveniently classified into seven broad
groups, in order of increasing technical sophistication. These groups are:
Audio Materials
Examples:
Radio broadcast – educational radio broadcasts constitute an extremely useful free
resource for teachers and trainers.
Gramophone records – recordings of music, plays etc. on gramophone records again
constitute a relatively inexpensive and readily – available instructional resource in certain
subject areas.
Audio tapes – audio materials recorded on an open – reel tape or tape cassette constitutes
one of the most useful resources at the disposal of modern teachers or lecturer’s .
