Learning Outcomes:
1. Identify nouns from the passage and give reasons for their declension endings (i.e.
whether they are Subjects (in a nominal/verbal sentences) or they are objects (only in a
verbal sentence).
2. Identify the verbs in the passage and indicate the person, number, and gender.
3. Easily tell which of the sentences are Nominal and which ones are Verbal.
4. Identify the grammatical functions of the detached and attached pronouns.
5. Understand the general idea of the text, the individual sentences, without necessarily
knowing the meanings of the individual words.
Exercises:
1. List the following nouns from the passage and give reasons for their declension endings.
2. Identify all attached pronouns, and show their grammatical functions.
