Today I'm going to talk to you about The Pursuit of Happyness and its true story.

well first a summary of the main part of the film the main character is Chris Gardnerque (Sherry
Dyson) In 1981, in San Francisco, Chris Gardner (Will Smith) invests his life savings in portable bone
density scanners that he tries to demonstrate and sell to doctors. The investment turns out to be a
failure, bankrupting the family and causing his wife to leave him and his son to live where they can
for a year until he meets (Brian Howe), a Dean Witter manager who he surprises by putting
together the Rubik's Cube in a short time which gives him the opportunity to be an intern at a
stockbroker's. Disadvantaged by his limited working hours, and knowing that they have maximised
their customers, their profits are the only way to get a paying job, which he and 19 other
competitors fight for, Chris develops a number of ways to make telephone sales more efficient. He
also gets potential and valuable customers by defying protocol. A sympathetic perspective leads
him and his son to a San Francisco football game. Despite his problems, Chris never reveals his
helplessness to his co-workers, even going so far as to give one of his bosses five dollars for a taxi,
a sum he cannot afford.

At the end of the internship, Chris meets with his managers. His work has paid off and he is offered
the position.
