A. Review/Introductory The teacher will have a short recall of the lesson.
Activity - What is the difference between bias and prejudice?
B. Activity/ Motivation The teacher will let the students read a short dialogue about The Club Meeting.
D. Abstraction The teacher will then proceed with the discussion of the lesson.
In the dialogue you read about club meeting, two members are negatively biased
about people living and coming from the provinces, in this case, the Ilonggos. These
two mem-bers may have heard wrong information, and bad impression about
Ilonggos, a thought that directs them toward an action. They developed this
negative impression about them (Ilonggos) which are clearly baseless and illogical.
Based on the dialogue, these members regard themselves more superior than Jennifer
who is an Ilongga and who just transferred in her new school. Having this
negative idea at the back of their mind, these members treated Jennifer harshly
and this is how prejudice becomes bias.

Activity/Motivation:
Everyone listens to her as she convinces them that the project will flourish.
Member 1: May I speak and share my
ideas for this project? I think I exactly
know how this plan would
go because in the school where I came
from…we had the same
project and it turned out quite well.
Member 3: When you moved here,
you left your old school somewhere in
Iloilo.
So, don’t try to imagine
that people here will be listening to your
jokes. Right guys?
Member 2: Being your Vice President,
I believe that we all need to hear
every idea that may secure
the success of our project…may they be
ideas from here or from
other parts of the country. So, I would
be
glad to here what you’ve
got to share Jennifer. Do we agree on
this,
guys?
Everyone: Yes, Vice!
Member 1: Thank you Vice! Please
allow me to share my experience from
my
old school where I served
as president of our Book Lover’s Club
for
more than a year ‘til I left
our project there still on progress and
they
say its doing good. So,
you see…..
Everyone listens to her as she convinces
them that the project will flourish.
