This circular letter aims to call your attention to the importance of correctly placing in position the two-way valve
(II), as per the diagrammatic drawing presented below.

I- Relay valve
II - Two-way valve
A- Connection with the outlet 21 of the parking brake valve
B- Connection with the outlet 23 of the four-way valve
C- Blocked
D- Connection with the outlet 23 of the parking brake valve
E- Connection with the inlet 12 of the Tristop combination cylinders
If the two-way valve (II) is vertically installed and correctly placed in position in the lower level in relation to the
relay valve (I), its inner construction allows that the lower entrance (12) remains closed during the parking brake
disapplication, when the air discharge outflow passes to be processed through the relay valve (I).
In case the two-way valve (II), vertically installed, is incorrectly placed in position in the level above the relay valve
(I), its lower entrance (11) will remain closed, passing the air discharge to be processed through the parking brake
valve, instead of through the relay valve (I). In such conditions, when the air discharge outflow is processed
through the parking brake valve, occurs the delay in the parking brake disapplication.
NOTE:
For this application, when the two-way valve is assembled vertically, we recommend to apply only the two-way
valve Nº 002 429 95 44 (Wabco).
