1. The BAIDU is a Chinese-based technology company. The company works on artificial
intelligence and internet-related products. The headquarters of the company is in Beijing.
2. Coruson is cloud software developed by a UK-based company called Ideagen.
3. United Nations released the ‘World Economic Situation and Prospects 2023’ report.
4. The International Blue Flag tag is awarded to the beaches that are cleanest and eco-
friendly. Kappad beach in Kerala is the only beach to receive the tag.
5. Trans fats are unsaturated fats. Increased consumption of trans fats leads to heart diseases
and bad cholesterol. The World Health Organization recently released a report on “Global
Trans – Fat Elimination”.
6. Bharat Biotech recently launched an intranasal vaccine to treat COVID-19. It is called
iNCOVACC. Intra-nasal means the vaccine is administered through nose.

January 23. Netaji founded the Azad Hind movement and led Azad Hind Fouj (Indian
National Army).

naval drills in the Indian Ocean. It is to be held in the month of February 2023. During the
exercise, the countries will exchange knowledge and operational skills.

the Pink city. 16th edition of the festival is to be celebrated in 2023.
27. MV Ganga Vilas the world’s longest river cruise, which was flagged off by the Prime

40. On January 11, it is Death anniversary of Lal Bahadur Shastri. He was the second Prime
Minister of Independent India. He popularised the slogan 'Jai Jawan Jai Kisan' He
actively participated in India's freedom struggle. Due to cardiac arrest, he died on 11
January 1966. And he was also known as the 'Man of Peace' globally.
